Background: With more than 15 years teaching piano at all levels in music conservatories and schools, José Carretero Gil makes use of several and different musical approaches. He believes in music as a tool to enhance the students’s creativity, self-confidence and discipline. He has been trained in Piano, Piano Pedagogy, Harpsichord, Organ, Accompaniment, Improvisation, Composition and Music Theory.

She is very involved in the local Music scene, playing in 2 orchestras, singing in a choir and playing in a String Quartet.

He has also earned degrees in choir conducting from Lausanne Conservatory, Milano Choral Academy and the Secretariat of Children’s Choirs of Catalonia. He conducts five choral ensembles in Geneva’s area, leads choral workshops and teaches in his private voice studio from 2001. Background: A native of upstate New York, Ryan is a prize winner in international competitions and has given performances in the United States and abroad. Ryan holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Juilliard School, as well as a diploma from Juilliard’s Pre-college division. Major teachers include Julian Martin, Dominique Weber and Seymour Lipkin. He has experience teaching students of all ages and levels, primarily classical piano.

Background: Mauricio Salamanca has been a saxophone teacher for children and adults since 2005 in different music schools such as the “Conservatoire Populaire”, “Cadets de Genève” and now in the “Ondine Genevoise”. He is active in several music projects of various styles, for example “Camera Venia”/”Saxas Quatuor” (Classical Music); “Palenque La Papayera” (World Music); “Big Up Band” (Jazz Music); and other styles. He is the Musical Director of “BBDR Big Band” and has titles in Pedagogy, Performance and Chamber Music of the “Geneva Music Conservatory”.

Nouchine SCHOPFER CATTINSchopfer nouchine

Instrument: Piano

Background: Holding a soloist diploma and a chamber music prize of virtuosity, Nouchine Schopfer has long experience in piano teaching but is also a concert pianist. She has been accompanying professional violin classes at the High School of Music Geneva (HEMu) for many years. Recepient of the award Ernst Göhner foundation and Migros “cultural percent”, she founded the Chamber Music “Ensemble Anthea”, with which she plays most often in concert.

Daniel SHAW

BackgroundWith post-graduate diplomas qualifications in music, education, philosophy and health, Daniel believes that music is a core part of being human. He teaches most guitar styles, tailoring his approach to each student’s own goals and needs. He has a diploma in instrumental teaching from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and performs, sings and composes in a variety of styles and ensembles.
